TAZARA future brightens as Presidenr Samia Suluhu takes on 6-day visit to China
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – President Samia Suluhu Hassan has embarked on a significant six-day tour to China, commencing yesterday, with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation and securing crucial investments for Tanzania’s infrastructure projects.
A key highlight of her visit will be the signing of an agreement to upgrade the Tanzania-Zambia Railway (Tazara), with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema also participating in the event.
During her visit, President Samia will engage in talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The agreement is anticipated to address critical infrastructure improvements for Tazara, a key rail link between Tanzania and Zambia.
This development is part of a broader effort to strengthen Tanzania-China relations and secure Chinese investment in Tanzania’s infrastructure projects.
