CHADEMA Leaders Accused of Plotting to Incite Violence and Attack Police Stations.

Following the High Court’s Dar es Salaam Division’s statement that there is no evidence showing that leaders of CHADEMA’s Youth Wing (BAVICHA) are being held by the police and ordering that these leaders be located, the Police Force has stated that they have obtained reliable information regarding CHADEMA leaders planning criminal activities that could threaten peace.

In a statement released by the Police Force, it was mentioned that CHADEMA leaders held a meeting via Zoom and agreed to start mobilizing their supporters to organize protests in various locations, including different offices.

Additionally, the statement said that they planned to encourage and form groups of about 20 youths to simultaneously attack police stations in Dar es Salaam.

“The Police Force issues a stern warning to anyone who continues to coordinate, incite, or participate in these planned criminal activities aimed at disrupting the peace in our country after their strategies failed. They will be dealt with accordingly under the country’s laws,” the statement said.

Furthermore, the statement emphasized that “anyone who arrives at any police station with ill intentions will be dealt with appropriately according to the law.”
